Premiere on the French tech scene: Airbnb is organizing a 12 hours hackathon in its Paris HQ on July 12th.

For one night long, participants will contribute to design and improve the best softwares to match the fast scaling concierge services dedicated to Airbnb hosts in big cities all around the World, under supervision of an international team of Airbnb developers.
Starting from Friday 6PM until Saturday 10AM, Airbnb is inviting 40 French software developers in its Paris office to work together on the best tools and solutions to support the growing global network of services dedicated to our host community.

There are only 40 spots available for this event. Best candidates will be selected through an online coding challenge sent on June 30th (postponed to July 2nd)
The bearers of best projects will be awarded prizes including up to €2000 worth of coupons to travel with Airbnb next summer. Participants will also be offered to join the ongoing recruiting process for a team of five new Airbnb engineers in France who will join the Luckey team to support the growth of concierge services for Airbnb hosts and guests all around the World.

Acquired in December 2018 by Airbnb, the French startup Luckey has developed leading technology and skills to make hosting easier on Airbnb. The Luckey team now works inside Airbnb on building a global service platform that will support the fast growth of short term rental management services all around the World and make hosting easier for everyone.
